Out of the 130 companies examined, Clas Ohlson came in at a joint seventh place in this year's survey on sustainability efforts among publicly listed companies, "Sustainable Companies 2023". The survey was conducted by Lund University in collaboration with Dagens Industri and Aktuell HÃ¥llbarhet.
The study involved scrutinizing the companies' annual and sustainability reports, as well as their websites. Companies were also asked to respond to numerous questions about their sustainability work, with a particular emphasis on their work related to biodiversity.
"We have committed to being a leader in sustainability within our industry, and this study highlights that we are doing many things right. Our long-term goal is to become climate-neutral and fully circular throughout the value chain by 2045, and this is something the entire company is actively working towards," says Anna Strindberg, Sustainability & Compliance Manager.
"Last year, we adopted a new policy on biodiversity and materials, further refining our approach. Responsible procurement and use of materials are key factors in preserving biodiversity and promoting circularity. During the year, we also committed to the Science Based Target Initiative, to show that we take our emission targets seriously and that they align with existing science," Anna Strindberg adds.
