Clas Ohlson increase sales in July

Sales in July increased by 7 per cent compared with July last year, corresponding to a sales increase of 3 per cent in local currencies. Clas Ohlson’s online sales growth in July amounted to 32 per cent.

July sales increased by 7 per cent to 658 MSEK (616). In local currencies, sales increased by 3 per cent compared with the preceding year. Sales in July in comparable units and local currency decreased by 2 per cent.

Online sales in July increased by 32 per cent to 19 MSEK (15).

Compared with July last year, the store portfolio was expanded net by 14 stores. At the end of the period, the total number of stores was 232.

Total sales for the first three months of fiscal year 2018/19 (May to July 2018) increased by 10 per cent to 1,958 MSEK (1,783). In local currencies, sales increased by 6 per cent. Sales in comparable units and local currency increased by 3 per cent. Online sales for the period increased by 60 per cent to 93 MSEK (58).

The interim report for the first quarter of 2018/19 will be published at 7:00 CET on Wednesday 5 September 2018. The report will be presented on the same day at 08:30 CET in Clas Ohlson’s store at Drottninggatan 53 in Stockholm, Sweden.
