Clas Ohlson’s new store in Kvarteret Giraffen shopping centre in Kalmar opened this morning. The company now once again has two stores in Kalmar.
“We established our first store in Kalmar back in 2005. It is very positive that we are continuing to invest in the city and that we now once again have two stores here,” says Andreas Helgesson, Country Operations Manager.
In recent years, Clas Ohlson has operated one store in Kalmar, located in the Hansa City retail park just outside the city. With this opening, the company returns to a central location at Kvarteret Giraffen shopping centre, close to the city centre.
The shopping centre has been redeveloped over the past year to make room for new shops and restaurants.
“We will be able to offer a wide range of products in store, making everyday tasks easier for people living in central Kalmar. The store will also be easily accessible for customers travelling to Kalmar by car,” says Andreas Helgesson.
The new store has a retail space of 1,072 square metres.
The opening marks Clas Ohlson’s seventh store launch in the 2025/2026 financial year. The eighth and final opening of the financial year will take place in Västerås on 29 April. Clas Ohlson now operates a total of 248 stores.
