Clas Ohlson has signed an agreement to lease a new store in Reading, UK. The store will be located in the main shopping area of Broad Street, in Reading. The retail space will amount to a total of 1.900 square metres. The store’s primary catchment area comprises approximately 257.000 residents and the store is scheduled to open in November 2009. Accordingly, future store openings for which contracts have been concluded to date are as follows: Frölunda in Sweden, Molde and Steinkjer in Norway October 2009, Hageby (Norrköping) in Sweden in October/November 2009, Bryne in Norway, Kingston and Reading in the UK in November 2009, Lillehammer in Norway between autumn 2009 and spring 2010, Norrtälje in Sweden during the spring of 2010, Lambertseter (Oslo) during the fall of 2010 and Malmö (Emporia) in 2011/2012. Clas Ohlson plans to open 15-20 new stores during the 2009/2010 financial year, of which 4-8 are to be in the UK. Including the company’s current 108 stores and the 11 stores under contract, Clas Ohlson will have a total of 119 stores, with 56 of them in Sweden, 43 in Norway, 16 in Finland and 4 in the UK.
