The store will be located in the city centre of Kingston. The retail space will amount to a total of 1.900 square metres. The store´s catchment area comprises approximately 329.000 residents in Kingston’s primary catchment area and the store is scheduled to open in November 2009. Accordingly, future store openings for which contracts have been concluded to date are as follows: Frölunda in Sweden, Molde and Steinkjer in Norway October 2009, Hageby (Norrköping) in Sweden in October/November 2009, Bryne in Norway in November 2009, Kingston in the UK in November 2009, Lillehammer in Norway between autumn 2009 and spring 2010, Norrtälje in Sweden during the spring of 2010 and Lambertseter (Oslo) during the fall of 2010. Clas Ohlson plans to open 15-20 new stores during the 2009/2010 financial year, of which 4-8 are to be in the UK.
