Clas Ohlson to build a Megastore in Insjön, Sweden

Clas Ohlson has decided to rebuild the current store in Insjön to create a Clas Ohlson Megastore. The new store will have a retail space of 3 200 square metres, which makes it the largest store of the current 108 stores. The new store is expected to be introduced during the summer of 2010. CEO, Klas Balkow commented: ”Our store in Insjön has been the foundation for creating an expansive retail centre in Insjön. We have more than a half a million visitors annually and will now invest to make our first store even more attractive.” The store in Insjön, which was founded in 1918, will be rebuilt as part of the refurbishing program to update all Clas Ohlson stores to the new store concept. The new concept is aimed at creating an even more inspiring shopping experience and to make it easier for customers to navigate among the wide range of products. CEO, Klas Balkow, continued: “The store in Insjön is also an important part of our corporate culture, our traditions and history and should mirror our growth and our ambitions. The stores proximity to our head office in Insjön also means that it can be a test store for new categories, products and concepts.” For further information, please contact: John Womack, Director of Information and Investor Relations; Mobile +46 70 678 24 99
