Policy for biodiversity and materials

Clas Ohlson’s policy for biodiversity and materials says for example that all our wood-based products must be certified by 2028.

“Many types of plants, animals and insects are lost every year due to human activity. This means that biodiversity, the variety of species, is declining. We need to make sure our business doesn’t harm biodiversity and instead protects it,” says Anna Strindberg, Sustainability & Compliance Manager.

Clas Ohlson’s policy for biodiversity and materials says for example that all our wood-based products must be certified by 2028.

Certified wood-based products means that independent organizations, such as FSC®, make sure (certify) that the wood has been harvested responsibly and that biodiversity has been protected.

“Much of our wood-based products are already certified but some of our current range still remains to process. All our new products will be certified as of now,“ says Anna Strindberg.
